Catarina Homem is a Principal Investigator at the Center for Chronic Diseases (CEDOC)/NOVA Medical School at the University Nova of Lisbon, Portugal. Her main research interests are on how stem cell fate and proliferation are temporally and metabolically regulated during development. Her lab uses Drosophila melanogaster as a model.
Catarina Homem did her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Mark Peifer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA and her Postdoc in the lab of Dr. Juergen Knoblich at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna, Austria.
