Dr. João Lacerda was graduated in Medicine at ULisboa, in 1988. Between 1991-1995, he performed the Complementary Internship in Clinical Hematology at Hospital de Santa Maria, Lisbon, as well as at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. His Ph.D and Habilitation exam was approved in 1998 and 2007, respectively in Faculty of Medicine, ULisboa. Dr. João Lacerda is currently a Graduate Senior Assistant of Clinical Hematology at the Hospital Santa Maria, Full Professor, Director of the Hematology University Clinic, Coordinator of the International Cooperation Center of the Faculty of Medicine, ULisboa, and Group leader at the iMM. He is also Coordinator of the consortium TREGeneration, an EU funded Horizon 2020 research project. In addition, Dr. João Lacerda is Vice-president of the Clinical Research Center, member of the Ethic Commission, and responsible for the Scientific sessions at the Medicine Academic Center of Lisbon.
