Márcia T. Rodrigues graduated in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells (PhD) from University of Minho (Portugal), in collaboration with Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (USA). During her PhD, she explored tissue engineering strategies aimed to regenerate bone and osteochondral interfaces. Currently, she is an Assistant Researcher at 3B’s Research Group working on musculoskeletal/orthopaedic tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. She is particularly interested in tendon and ligament strategies and magnetic assisted technologies to promote tissue regeneration and modulate inflammation.
MT Rodrigues is editor of a book on Tendon Regeneration (Elsevier), authors 13 book chapters, 38 papers in international refereed journals, and over 70 communications. She was invited to give 14 seminars in advanced classes and to publish a scientific cover for the TE journal. She has been cited over 850 times and has an h-index of 15 (ISI web of Science).
